Almost makes this democrat a monarchist

This is one of the few available biographies of the longest living monarch. It is part coffee table book and part overview of the King's life. What it is not is a Kitty Kelly type biography. I don't think one would be possible for King Bhumibol. He has led a truly exemplary life and this book details many of his projects reaching out to the poor in Thailand.
If you go to Thailand one of the first things you'll see are Long Live The King bumperstickers everywhere. There are lese majeste laws which prevent speaking ill of the monarch (apparently a government thing since the King tends to be against them and keeps pardoning people) but he is truly loved that if you spoke ill of him the Thai's would treat it like you just insulted their favorite grandfather. What ill can you say of a monarch who is an accomplished jazz musician and composer who has jammed with Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong etc. (Lionel Hampton called him the "coolist king ever"), is an award winning photographer, who stepped in and talked with the poor farmers and and worked out a sound economic way for them to stop growing poppies, who,when the recent flood was threatening the Grand Palace told the government to take care of the people first and not the palace. It's quite an evolutionary approach to the monarchy in Thailand and he is loved as much as his grandfather who ended slavery there.
If I have any criticism it is that I would have liked to have seen more of the King's photographs and a discography. Small quibbles though.

I know 25$ or so seems a lot for a biography but when you recieve it you'll know why it costed that much. The quality of the book is exceptional and its very large. Furthermore, the information is accurate, detailed and non bias in my opinion.

Really a recording of a seminar

There is nothing wrong with seminars, and this is a recording of one. I didn't know that before buying it. I don't know why it made a difference, but it did.

Maybe because this seminar is a bit too conversational and less structured than I expected?

When it comes down to it, all technical analysis seems convincing until you are in a big market move, up or down, and it sure looks like either way could be the next step. Maybe it's just me.

The information he provides on using candlestick and the different types of patterns has improved my knowledge of the stock market. It has helped me to understand the direction of a stocks trend whether it's up, down or sideways and how strong that trend is. The author does like to brag about how he is the father of candlestick in the United States but that is ok with me very good and usable info.

Great seminar. Great candlestick primer. Lots of information. Nison shows the proper way to view and use candlesticks. I had no problem at all with the video quality and mine was VHS tapes bought through an Amazon seller for only $12.50!! What a bargain!! And you can print out the slides from this seminar at Nison's site to take notes on.
